Little Swimmers
Welcome to Liscombe Swim Academy! We are extremely excited for your little one to start their swimming journey with us! We teach children aged 4 months – 4 years in our Parent & Baby and Parent & Child classes. If your child is 4 years old please click HERE to go to the ASA Stages 1-7 information.
Our parent and baby teacher’s aim is to bring creativity and fun to every lesson to provide the best learning environment for your baby. Each lesson is structured, progressive and fun for the both of you! You really will be amazed at what your little one can do in the water!
Working through our tiny turtle stages 1-4, they will achieve certificates and badges along the way free of charge! Once your little one has completed these stages they will start working towards their super shark awards. Your child’s progress is updated after each lesson on the portal which you can review at any time. On this portal you also have access to manage your child’s membership.
Parent & Baby lessons will prepare your child to safely enter and exit the water, move through the water, hold onto the side and much more all to prepare them to move into our academy stages 1-7 once they turn 4 years old.
Our teachers are all qualified with either STA or ASA teaching qualifications, enhanced DBS checked and insured.

Tiny Turtles - 3 Months to 3 Years
Our tiny turtle programme is a fun, relaxing introduction to swimming lessons for your baby. There are 4 awards to complete, collecting certificates and badges along the way, free of charge.
We aim to educate your child in water safety, how to enter and exit the water safely, be at ease and move through water safely. In addition to this we encourage confidence in getting their head wet, blowing bubbles and being relaxed in the water on their back whilst learning how to float.
Each lesson will be highly enjoyable using a mixture of flotation equipment, brightly coloured toys and lots of songs!

Super Sharks - 3 - 4 Years
Our super shark awards are typically for children aged 3-4 years however children will progress from tiny turtle to super shark when they are ready as opposed to moving up by age.
There are 4 stages to achieve collecting badges and certificates along the way, free of charge. In these stages your child will possibly want to swim more independently as they grow in confidence. These stages aim to prepare your child to kick with support, submerge their face with confidence without force with adult supervision, learn to safely jump in the pool, blow bubbles under the water through both their mouth and nose, learn streamline positions and much more.
