We are excited to announce that we have set a reopening date of Tuesday 21st July subject to Government approval for indoor leisure facilities to reopen prior to this. We know many of you are disappointed that the Government didn’t allow us to open on the 4th July alongside others in the hospitality sector. However, we must keep sight of the bigger picture and respect that they couldn’t open everything at once.

We have selected this date for reopening as it allows us to remobilise our resources and staff towards a specific date. Without a specific date and more importantly appropriate time to prepare it would not be possible to open the club in a ‘covid secure’ manner. The Government have indicated indoor leisure will be able to reopen in mid July so we are taking a slight gamble by setting this date, but we believe it a necessary one.

However, we wish to reiterate we will only open on 21stJuly if Government approval for indoor leisure facilities has been announced by this date. If it hasn’t, we will be on standby ready to open the day the Government give the green light!

We have been making changes to the club to enable social distancing and we will be asking you all to follow new guidelines to keep us all safe when you return. These will be released nearer our reopening date alongside a video of the facility to give you confidence in our new procedures. We are very excited to announce we have been painting, refurbishing and begun the complete refurbishment of our wet side changing rooms which we hope will be completed prior to you returning!

We can’t wait to see you very soon!

From the Liscombe Health Club Team

Good Morning ,

You will have likely seen the Government announcement yesterday that all gyms and leisure facilities are now closed indefinitely. As per our last email this means all memberships have been automatically frozen from today, 21st March 2020.

Direct Debit Payers

If you pay by direct debit the 1st April collection will be collected as this has already been submitted to your banks therefore it is too late for us to stop it. When we fully re open, we will ensure all swimming lessons and gym memberships paid for between 21st March – 30th April are honoured and your repayments will only restart once they have. You will not be left having paid for something that you did not use due to this period of closure.

Please do not cancel your direct debit as this will automatically terminate your membership and put you into a debt collection procedure which incurs extra costs as per the T&C’s.

Annual Payers

Your membership has been frozen and your membership will be extended for the entire duration of the club closure.

What Next?

Nobody really knows how long this period of closure will last. As soon as we have the government directive that it is safe to re open we will contact you to let you know the open date and when payments will restart. We are looking to bring you home workouts and virtual classes via our social media platforms so if you haven’t already please follow us on Facebook and Instagram. These will be for both children and adults. We are also exploring the options of delivering some outdoor activities. We hope to announce details of all of this next week.

Thank You

We would just like to say a huge thank you to all the members who have shown unbelievable support during this difficult time. The acts of kindness from our members has been truly overwhelming and is a true testament to what an amazing place Liscombe Health Club has become with the members and staff that belong to it. It has been a difficult time but the compassion and generosity of our members has strengthened our resolve to bring Liscombe Health Club out the other side stronger than ever.

We really cannot say thank you enough and we hope to see you all back in the club once this virus is under control.

Kind regards

Sarah & Chris
